Listen to Lady Antonia Fraser, aged 90, at The Oldie's Literary Lunch on 18th July 2023, interviewed by Harry Mount - The Oldie

Listen to Lady Antonia Fraser, aged 90, addressing The Oldie readers about her latest book Lady Caroline Lamb: A Free Spirit and being interviewed by Harry Mount, both members of the Pakenham family tree. Lady Antonia Fraser spoke about Byron who was "mad, bad and dangerous to know". She declined to condemn the poet and said "He was not an unrotter" and continued "but I've only got to open the poetry and I'm a goner". Harry asked Antonia what she thought about Bryon sleeping with his sister - isn't that rottery? "That's not for me to say," she said, "I've got four brothers and have never been invited".
