I have not seen enough people talking about this. Remember all the fuss about #MickeyMouse becoming #publicdomain last year and how you weren't supposed to draw him with gloves, have him talk, etc?

Some of those aspects first appeared in films that became public domain in the US this year! I have yet to watch all of them to find out what we can get away with, but this is important news to any other evil little gremlins.

We can now freely create and share works featuring a Mickey Mouse closer to the modern version that people know.
