I’m so tired of YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and all the rest. Not because I’m exhausted, but because I can finally see what’s behind it all. The smiling faces, the endless content, the fake “authenticity” are just products built to keep us quiet. Everything is soaked in the same capitalist lie that tells us to keep consuming so we don’t have time to wonder what life could be if we actually owned it together.

I’d rather spend my time learning from people who fought back, who still fight back. I want to read about trans liberation, about organizing, about workers building something that isn’t ruled by profit or fear. There’s a strange comfort in understanding how ugly the system is because it means the ugliness was made by human hands, and if it was made, it can be taken apart.

What I want isn’t luxury or fame, just the chance to live and learn in solidarity with others who can see through the bullshit too.

"At its core, solarpunk envisions a world reorganized around #RenewableEnergy, genuine #cooperation, and #SustainableDesign that doesn’t sacrifice beauty or dignity in the process. I had a very productive buy nothing day yesterday. I got some cleaning done, installed some insulation in the basement in spots where it was missing, played lots of Mario Kart and purchased nothing.

It was actually my third day in a row of not buying anything, but I'll be ending my streak at the local farmer's market this morning.
