@MrEdgarBass : I had not seen https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oYq5a37-ZFE before, but I 100% agree with her.

My dad was a reverent (Mennonite) and the son of a Jew. But while I'm a 100% atheist, like the journalist, I support freedom of religion - until religious people start dictating how I (or others) should behave based upon their fairy tales written in whatever ancient book, or simply fantasized to support their claim that they're good and others are evil.

Edited to add, from https://youtube.com/watch?v=q0TFxpp7pco:

Shulamit Aloni:
“Well it’s a trick we always use it, when in Europe somebody is criticizing Israel, then we bring up the holocaust. When in this country [US, ed.] people are criticizing Israel, then they are anti-Semitic.”

@stefanmuelller : sure, if an Israeli organisation claims that THEY demand "From the river to the sea", that's just fine; see https://myesha.org.il/?CategoryID=419 (screenshot below).

From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yesha:
> Yesha (Hebrew: יש"ע) is a Hebrew acronym for
> "Judea, Samaria, Gaza"

Dani Dayan, illegal Westbank settler and former Yesha chair, now chairmain of https://holocaustremembrance.com ("A world that remembers the Holocaust. A world without genocide" and IHRA definition of AntiSemitism) is also deputy chairman of the Auschwitz Councel (https://www.auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschwitz-council/members-of-the-international-auschwitz-council-4th-term-of-offi/).

It is extremely likely that Dani Dayan wrote the statement at the bottom of https://www.auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschwitz-council/ which includes:

"Threatened in its existence, the State of Israel has the right to self-defense in accordance with international law and the principles of humanitarianism. The existence of a free, sovereign, and democratic Jewish State is one of the pillars of world peace."

With or without a ceasefire, Israel is still targeting Gaza’s journalists
Ibtisam Mahdi wrote about how with or without a ceasefire, Israel is still targeting #Gaza’s journalists: the killing of Muhammad Qishta, Abdel Raouf Sha’at, and Anas Ghneim on Jan. 21 shatters any illusion of “post-war” safety. But for Mahdi, who knew and regularly collaborated with Qishta and Sha’at, the honor of their work and the memory of their laughter cannot be erased.

#PalestineAction defendants acquitted of aggravated burglary over arms factory raid
After eight days of deliberations, defendants were acquitted, or not convicted, of all offences levelled against them

During the trial, the prosecution alleged that the six defendants entered the factory with sledgehammers, intending, if needed, to injure and incapacitate security guards.

But the defendants disputed that the sledgehammers were “weapons of offence”, and insisted they were intended only to damage property.

As the verdicts were being read, the defendants held hands and embraced in the dock, as families and supporters cheered and wept.

The six defendants have been held for around 18 months on remand- exceeding standard #UK custodial time limits.

Pacheco, a frequent critic of the Miami Beach mayor, said she didn’t think much of a #Facebook comment she wrote on January 7, in which she pointed out the mayor’s hypocrisy over calling the city a safe haven for all.

“The guy who consistently calls for the death of all #Palestinians, tried to shut down a theater for showing a movie that hurt his feelings, and REFUSES to stand up for the LGBTQ community in any way (even leaves the room when they vote on related matters) wants you to know that you’re all welcome here,” she wrote, following up with three clown emojis.
