MagpieblogI found myself parked behind a 'sovereign citizen' today. Believers in this particular flavor of sovereign craziness hold that the US government is illegitimate and that they are immune from federal, state, and local laws under the 1786 Moroccan–American Treaty of Friendship -- a treaty that supposedly grants them sovereignty. Including, obviously, the right to display this fake license plate.
