-Insurrectionary Anarchists= the Grandma who loves telling the same stories over and over again about shoplifting during the great depression, and nobody cares that they've heard it before because it's always a hoot. Literally taught one of her grandkids how to hot wire a car.

(continued...)Acknowledging anti-civ’s critique of even “green” infrastructure as still being built with polluting “un-green” technology and things like Cobalt from the African continent, leads one to realize that western produced tech has its roots in environmental (and therefore Indigenous) exploitation and destruction. So the future isn’t about “reforming” colonial tech; it’s about reimagining what technology even IS so as to accommodate nature AND those who depend on it. Nobody’s done that in modern times.That sure makes me feel even more anxious than usual when I leave my house to enter MOST establishments, drive on highways, etc. 😬 But hey, other worlds are possible, we can remedy that🤩.

I’ve been thinking a lot about/have been doing some cursory reading (so far) on anti-civ anarchism. Its premise is definitely shifting my understanding of the future. Like, I’m an optimist by nature, but this changes notions of what “progress” is, in a good way however.

For example, after reading the recent thread exchange by @romainelaprophetesse and @makegodgayagain about the role of anti-Blackness as an engine for global culture industries, it made me think about what our technological infrastructure in general is built on as well. (Cont... in next post)
