How does your antagonist behave when they’re sick or injured?

Nobody ever has seen Ayanami as in a physical form. It's a disembodied set of voices, mails, etc.
They, in lack of a better term, are as mysterious as it gets, not a single call or contact 'in person' (in official meeting spaces where henches have to report in person to an empty room full of holographic projections for their mission) is answered in less then a minute. This is the main reason people expect them to be a group of people or an A.I.

For Ariæne it's every day since they lost the ability to form coherent memories. Waking up disoriented and confused, finding themselves, often after having the same horrible nightmare dream/only memory flash back they remember in all detail...
Finding an unfamiliar room, books over books, tablets and post it's notes scattered in an otherwise very empty room, besides two corners which seem to be work spaces in an unfamiliar complex.
It's stressful at least and without K. the one Hench that always seems to calm them down it can get nasty for everyone else.
AJ has shot people if they found their weapon, hurt people with pencils etc. still their services seem so valuable to Ayanami that they protect and support Ariæne with everything including K.
Rarely AJ seems to have anything that resembles a disease but the memory thing seems bad enough.
Without all the notes and files on tablets some days it would impossible to bring them to a functional state.

If one of your characters could visit any time period in the history of their world, which would they choose? Why is that?

None.

Temporal Mechanic is a field of the RYDE physics, time travel happens more accidentally while higher speeds are achieved however this is only forward in time, do to the fact that time acts differently for an enclosed system that is faster in relation to its surroundings.
Without the Garcia - Nirnquest system, every planet visited with Faster Than Light would bring the crew "forward" in time.

A theoretically possible RYDE usage back in time, could work but would mean the ship has to "cut its anchor" to our reality and "submerge" entirely in the sub dimension that is used for FTL travel. But there are more problems attached to that completely theoretical usage of the RYDE Propulsion next to the fact that no ship ever was registered as coming back after being submerged.

It's not as easy as throwing you around a star in an weird angle or move earth (Terra) backwards, you basically would need to enter the anti time stream but how that should be possible even the people in Star Ryde can't explain or achieve.

That said if they COULD manage most of them had elaborate discussions over Temporal Manipulation and why it is bad and has to be avoided.
Not even Ayanami would suggest time alterations, but they would probably try to secure possible working back travel time machines against usage by others.

What would your antagonist do if they were given a bouquet of flowers?

Ayanamis voice came from somewhere, this time it was more masculine & the tempo was off as if the voices data had to be channeled through a high gravity well: "Someone please pick the biological component up, scan it for harmful components or radiation & act accordingly to the results."

Ariæne rubbed their forehead, they seemed tired, exhausted, their skin dry & with a sepia discoloration: "If I knew... If I could remember, where Kiara's grave side is located, I would lay them down for her."

K. AJ's personal assistant & guard took the flowers & scanned them: "No harmful biological or non bio components for Union species, no radiation. Am I allowed a suggestion?"

Ayanami voice was still a bit jammering but authoritarian: "Go on, speak your mind."

K. swallowed, this was a breach of protocol but she knew Ayanami cared for AJ, for whatever reason: "May I suggest having Ariæne send them of the ship via Airlock? It seems their situation is stressfull, a ritualistic gesture could help relieving some of this."

A way to long silence followed before Ayanami's answer came with a more female voice, it was cold & cut short: "Acceptable, proceed."

K. held the flowers in one hand grabbing Ariæne's with the free hand & pulled them out of the room. Ariæne followed without hesitation like in a trance. K.'s voice was gentle & soft: "Kiara was incinerated & her remains shut into space."

AJ struggled speaking "I don't remember..."

K. smiled "I know but I do for you, you told me about it, this are violet carson, Kiara's favorite."

"You are right she liked them..."

"Come we send them out the airlock & you can speak with her, I will stay guard."

"Thank you ... I ..."

"K. like the letter."

"Thank you K."

"Everytime Ariæne."

K. felt helpless, not all was true but it was close enough for the moment.

What is your antagonist's earliest memory?

Ariæne Johnsen has no constant memory to begin with, their ability to remember & relive past events is severely damaged.
They can't make new memories easily & has to write down important things, in an elaborate system, to keep track of stuff.
For unknown reasons, they can't remember things after they went to sleep, but has resurfacing memories of their greatest tragedy in life, as they lost their wife on the battlefield. And this in staggering cruel details.
They remember her name, her scent, her touch, her voice, her death, but their life with her starts to fade away, the youth they had together, the lives they built for themselves.
Kiara has become some sort of a haunting memory to Ariæne & the disability to make new memories that last or can be remembered in any sort of coherent way, makes things so much more complicated.

Ariæne doesn't even know why they is working for Ayanami. They has a note written down that translates into "Trust Ayanami as long as it benefits you."

That said Ayanami takes care about AJ, they has a apartment sized room for their own, gets equipment & food everything and if some abandoned looking corners can be believed time to pursuit hobbies.
Also there is Ariæne's personal guard or secretary. All armed members in Ayanami's facilities wearing the same black armor and helmet, but K. as Ariæne named them, according to K., and Ariæne seem to have a deep relationship. Ariæne has a note that translates to 'trust K.'
K. seems also be observed by her team mates and Ayanami for the relationship to Ariæne.

Antagonist POV: Tell us about a fun time you recently had.

Ayanami's voice coming from somewhere in the room, probably a set of hidden speakers:
"I do not indulge my self, in such mindless endeavors, for any personal sophistication. And even if I would, this is hardly a part of our transactions."

Ariæne made a face of uncertainty:
"I honestly can't remember. Shocking I know," they smiled a weirdly sympathetic smile that also looked kinda defeated.
"I have written down something here," they opened a compartment of their armor, next to their left breast and pulled out a little sticky note like piece of paper.
It was tightly rolled up into a tiny scroll. They opened it and read the partly scratched out text:
"We... I am watching a movie today with the guard that is telling me she knows me and that we are friends. I don't trust her but she knew a movie I love. According to her I call her K. regularly and she is fine with that."

They flipped the piece of paper around on which another handwritten Text was visible.
"If anyone 'K.' seems to be trustworthy. She enjoyed the movie, I had a pleasant time. Remember this!"
Ariæne rolled the piece up again and put it back into the tiny compartment.
"I guess that was the last time I had fun. Hopefully it wasn't to long ago..."

Does your antagonist/s has/have any redeeming qualities?

My antagonists, Ayanami, Ariæne & Matriac are not the Big Bad Evil Guys (BBEG).
That role is reserved for the Eltaryn and I am not sure they should have any redeeming qualities.

If your antagonist had to learn a musical instrument, what would they pick and why?

Ariæne:
Violine or Electric Bass/Guitar.

Ayanami:
Probably some sort of organ, but only if they could make it possible, to hack enemy ship communications. So they can make sure everyone has listen to it, since Space only emits sound in very rare conditions and never as we understand it on earth today.

Antagonist POV: Imagine you achieved your goal. What’s next?

Ayanami: "Dear friend I'm not working towards any goal, and don't need to 'imagine' things. See you really need to understand that sometimes the way is the goal. I'm not interested in produce outcome X by any means necessary, such a rampaging approach blinds you with ambitions for a goal that might be unavailable, my work will and already has altered our present time line of events. I'm just making sure no one is... Left behind, so to say."

Ariæne: "I don't known maybe my memory issues are permanent and their is no way of regaining them all ... So why should I plan ahead for an event that 'my today me' or 'current iteration' will never see. Maybe my next me will have a different opinion on that and maybe write it down. Maybe it can be repaired and I can finally say goodbye, I'm sure 'all me' would like that..."

Does your antagonist believe in the supernatural?

Ayanami: only if it helps their* goal even if project Seele (project soul) sounds pretty much as if they* believe in such things. If it gets people to do your bidding it's good enough to be used.

*the pronouns are stand ins fir a possible group or entity of people, no one knows enough about Ayanami. For all that the crew of henches knows it could easily be an AI but AI's have no money or power Ayanami has both.

Ariæne: no Ariæne didn't believe in mythical, supernatural or esoteric stuff as they had a functioning memory and they still doesn't believe in it. Only less understood science and scientific phenomenons. If you can't explain it without any mythology/supernatural/esoteric your simply missing knowledge about 'the thing.'
