One person was killed and eight others were injured in a #shooting at a party in #Indianapolis, #Indiana, early Sunday, authorities said.

Officers were already responding to the scene after getting reports of a large party after midnight when they heard shots being fired and saw a large crowd fleeing the area, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer #SamoneBurris said.

An active shooter event has taken place at Covenant School, Covenant Presbyterian Church, on Burton Hills Dr. The shooter was engaged by MNPD and is dead. Student reunification with parents is at Woodmont Baptist Church, 2100 Woodmont Blvd.

Just once I'd like to see a GQP, gun lobby loving, republican stand up and say that's enough, I'm out of the assault rifle protection party.

Police name gunman, say all 3 killed were #MSU students

A gunman killed 3 people & critically injured 5 students at #Michigan State University on Monday night before fatally shooting himself.

Police identified the #gunman as 43-year-old Anthony Wayne McRae.

The names of the victims would be released later Wednesday, police said.
