There was a notable solar prominence to see in addition to the eclipse! It's the fuzzy blob extending from the sun's surface at the bottom right - but that blob is probably 5-10 times the size of the planet Earth. This shot (again a screenshot from a video) was taken through a hydrogen-alpha filter on a dedicated solar telescope. #eclipse #eclipse2023 #AnnularEclipse2023

I went to Winnemucca, Nevada to shoot the annular solar eclipse this weekend. Despite a lot of clouds, I think I got some good pictures.
