Why do people post a link and maybe 2-5 words as though that's context enough?

I'm not clicking your links, sir. Not without an explanation. Your textual equivalent of a point and grunt isn't going to cut it.

Things #80s & #90s kids know:
*No grown adult man needs the help of children to find a dog.
*There are no "free" magazine subscriptions.
*Never click links sent from strangers on the internet (or your well-intentioned but horribly naive elders).

Apparently, a day or two after we left town for the holidays, we had a(nother) power event. Got home at 1627. Took about 15-20 minutes to unload the car. Then around an hour to get all the smart speakers, plugs and lights restored (12 lights factory reset themselves, the smart plugs had all their individual outlets restarted to the "off" setting and the TV and its sound-bar were annoyed with each other).
