A bit late but Friday was the 124th anniversary of the birth of Doris Speed (Annie Walker, the original landlady of the Rover's in Coronation Street). Came across this excellent tribute programme, broadcast after her death in 1994. That regal manner and dry wit - fabulous. I love the bit where she goes as Queen Elizabeth I to a fancy dress party. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3V6enl6pkw #DorisSpeed #AnnieWalker #Corrie #BritishTV #SoapOpera #CoronationStreet #OldBritishTV
