Wie ihr den Slides entnehmen könnt, stelle ich heute das Thema meines Buches vor: Mut zur #Selbstfindung, ein klassisches Entwicklungsthema. Warum Mut zur Selbstfindung? Weil es sich dabei nicht immer um einen schönen Prozess handelt. Es kann sehr schmerzhaft sein zu entdecken, dass wir eigentlich keine Ahnung haben, wer wir sind. Manchmal enthüllen sich Wahrheiten, die uns sogar noch als Erwachsene aus der Bahn werfen können. Um sich dem zu stellen, braucht es Mut. Mut, den ersten Schritt zu wagen, Mut andere Sichtweisen zu zulassen, Mut mit Dingen zu brechen, die uns nicht gut tun. All das begegnet meiner Protagonistin. Vielleicht ist mein Buch deshalb nicht nur für Teens, sondern auch ein Stück für Erwachsene. Ich hoffe, dass die Geschichte das Thema gut rüber bringt und ganz wichtig: auch wenn die Story düstere Untertöne hat, habe ich die Rückmeldung bekommen, dass es vor allem unterhaltsam und gut geschrieben ist 😆. I say it's worth labeling #FurryFiction properly, because I want to find it more easily as a #reader. But what is it that makes furry fiction as a #genre worthwhile and unique? Why do I love furry fiction so much?
The easy answer is that I love animals. But as an #editor of furry #fiction, I push for a more expansive definition of the genre than just #TalkingAnimals. That's why #AnimalFantasy isn't as useful a label to me as #furry.
