Remember: Humans are not the problem.
The problem is specific worldviews, ecomomic theories, and ideologies such as #Anthropocentrism , #Androcentrism and #Colonialism
Glad #BearVsMan conversation is happening. I wish it went beyond talking about individuals to discussing systems.
Bears don't have a culture around them that actively encourages treating women as their property.
"Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

Discussed Canadian "values", and how many Indigenous people evaluate a community by the treatment of those who have the least.
My text:
Western society is built on hierarchies. The entire "class" system is designed to create a "middle class" that aspires to become upper class as a way to maintain control. Poverty is created as power.

Human societies being made up of humans does not automatically lead to #Anthropcentrism.
For example, Anishinaabe worldviews put humans as below the rest of creation rather than above.
https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/16094069231185454
"All of Creation is connected and reliant upon one another, though humans are arguably the most dependent species having been created after all else according to Anishinaabe Creation stories."
Hebrew Book of Genesis promotes #Androcentrism and #Anthropocentrism
That (nervously) gets us into a discussion of what constitutes a "modern society".
So much diversity has been pushed below the surface by colonialism (primarily Abrahamic colonialism, which often pushes #Androcentrism, #Anthropocentrism and other hierarchical thinking onto other societies).
I don't see colonial/supremacist thinking as "modern".
Because of where I live, I'm learning about the Haudenosaunee & Anishinabek peoples -- comparing worldviews.

I find #Capitalism is used as a catch-all phrase for so many unrelated things.
Examples:#Anthropocentrism and #Androcentrism are generally part of European and Abrahamic worldviews, and still present if peoples with those worldviews base their economies on other European theories (Socialism, Marxism, Communism, etc).
I still strongly believe what disables #ADHD and #ActuallyAutistic people environmental (systems in society) and not built into the individual.
Technology's default setting is 'male' — more precisely a white, or at least, light-skinned male. Tracey Spicer exposes how technology and AI has embedded sexism and racism into the future. It's the next frontier of feminism. But who is responsible? Big Tech, refusing to spend money to fix the problem? The world's politicians, who lack the will to legislate? Or should we all be taking a good, hard look at ourselves?
Why is a #sysadmin & #FLOSS policy person spending so much time talking about #Racism and #Colonialism ?
I apply decades of experience in technology and technology law to other domains.
Hardest part for many is recognising the difference between hardware and software.
They'be been told Racism is about phenotypes, but it is actually entirely about software (Social Sciences) and not hardware (Biology).
I consider #Racism , #Colonialism, #Anthropocentrism and #Androcentrism to be malware.
