Tracy Aviary's beloved Andy N. Condor has had a life-sized bronze memorial statue completed and placed in the Aviary's entrance plaza. We miss his living presence immensely, but the statue captures his look and personality remarkably well. The sculptor is Adam Matano.

Here, Chewie, the Aviary's black vulture, visits the memorial to his friend, with whom he used to go on daily walks.

Sorry to be so terribly late in replying; I've been away for awhile.

It's always wonderful to find other vulture and condor lovers. And I'm so pleased you like Andy's memorial poster. He has since had a life-sized bronze statue made and placed in the entrance plaza at Tracy Aviary so he will always be there to greet visitors and be a reminder of how much we loved him. The sculptor is Adam Matano.

Here is Chewie, a black vulture, admiring Andy's statue. They used to go on walks together.
