R.L. Dane (snac)#AndStatus does not like GoToSocial (and/or vice-versa), but it seems to like #snac just fine!
Ji FuIt's amazing to me how all these years later #AndStatus really still is the best #Android app for the #fediverse.
Sometimes simple is just better. They had to remove support for #twitter a while back for obvious reasons. I would appreciate it if they would add support for a couple other #SNS like #Bluesky or #nostr. But I'm a happy camper without it even if they never reach the cross platform function of #OpenVibe or #SonaSNS for iPhone. The snappiness and off-line first nature of it is just 😘
Ji Fu (Domestic Terrorist)@xz25 If I do a native quote post from friendica's web interface it looks similar to this on mastodon. I most often use #AndStatus app on android which allows me to use multiple accounts with one app in one feed. I think in this case I saw post of @hellomiakoda on a different account but I thought it would be better to re-toot it to my libranet.de followers than whichever account I saw it on (probably one of the ones associated with my employer) so I selected SHARE to the post on AndStatus and chose #AndStatus as the one I wanted to share via and picked a different account so it showed as a new post from one account via AndStatus. I could have copied the URL from the OP opened the web client copy/pasted the URL into search hope my instance finds the same and then click Re-Share on the post that showed up, but I'm lazy.

A very detailed investigation on what is needed client-side can be found in the #AndStatus project. It was never completed AFAIK as there were among others no server implementations to test against.
