#AnarchoSyndicalist author #RudolfRocker was interned in the UK as an #EnemyAlien on #ThisDayInHistory in 1914. (He was German but worked in London for an #anarchist newspaper.) The reason was publication of his criticism of #WorldWarI in a piece written with #PyotrKropotkin.

On #ThisDayInHistory in 1958, the #anarchosyndicalist activist and writer #RudolfRocker died. From time in London with #Yiddish #anarchist newspaper Arbeter Fraint to agitation against Nazism in Germany to his last decades in the US, he never wavered in commitment to the future.

@lyndamerry484 @ScottishGreens I think that we need full #AnarchoSyndicalist communism. But the only route to that would be to persuade the vast majority of the population to agree, and currently they don't; so the least worst -- which I think currently means #Green -- government under representative democracy is probably the best we can hope for in the medium term.
