Judge #AmyBermanJackson said she is “deeply concerned” that #Trump admin ofcls aren’t complying with her earlier order that maintains the #CFPB’s existence until she rules on the merits of a lawsuit seeking to preserve it.

During the hearing, Jackson said she will bar ofcls from any #MassFirings or cutting off employees’ access to bureau computer systems.

Jackson scheduled a hearing on April 28 to hear testimony from ofcls who were working on the reduction in force, or #RIF, procedures.

Judge #AmyBermanJackson of the Federal District Court in Washington said she intended to issue an order later on Friday preventing the #CFPB’s workers from being cut off from the agency’s system, as the agency’s leaders had planned. She said she intended to follow up later this month with a more extensive hearing on the planned #layoffs. Until then, they will not move forward, she said.

After the #Trump admin sent termination notices on Thurs to 90% of employees at the #CFPB — some 1,500 people — Judge #AmyBermanJackson of the Federal District Court in Washington ordered a hearing at 11AM today. She is seeking to determine if the terminations violated an injunction she imposed barring agency ofcls from dismantling the bureau so completely that it cannot carry out its legally mandated duties.

Manchester is to Real what Real is to #AmyBermanJackson.
“My efforts to protect federal employees generally, & whistleblowers in particular, from #unlawful treatment will continue,” Dellinger added.

…Judge #AmyBermanJackson had previously ordered Dellinger reinstated temporarily while she considered arguments from both sides. An appeals court rejected the #Trump admin’s emergency appeal of that order, prompting the admin to ask #SCOTUS to intervene. The justices delayed ruling on the admin’s request so that Jackson could hold a hearing w/the parties.

Judge #AmyBermanJackson disagreed, saying in her ruling that the #statute “must stand.” Eliminating the restrictions on Dellinger’s removal, she wrote, “would be fatal to the defining & essential feature of the Office of #SpecialCounsel as it was conceived by #Congress & signed into #law by the President: its #independence.”

US Dist Judge #AmyBermanJackson’s ruling blocks the removal of #HamptonDellinger as head of the Office of #SpecialCounsel, which investigates #whistleblower reports filed by #GovernmentWorkers & protects #FederalEmployees from #retaliation, political #coercion & other practices that are barred in the fed workplace.

The #Trump admin has indicated in court filings that it would appeal any such ruling to #SCOTUS, which on Feb 21 declined to intervene until the litigation proceeded further.

#Trump attempt to boot the Biden administration’s whistleblower advocate, Hampton Dellinger, from his post at the #OfficeofSpecialCounsel

After suddenly booting the #OSC Hampton Dellinger director out, then being Judge slapped by U.S. District Judge #AmyBermanJackson to back off is going to wake up more folks.

Maybe many who are saying, ⭕'I didn't vote for all of this "ish'"
(as #MichaelSteele is fond to say on #MSNBC The Weekend Show)
