Got one untested and one “working” #Amiga A500 mainboards to provide donor chips for my B2000 reproduction.

The “untested” board, a Rev5, is indeed faulty and green screens on power up. The “working” Rev6a board powers up, boots from floppy (and also after moving CIA’s around), audio is good, and the mouse port works. More diagnostics needed, but it’s a healthy start.

I’ve transferred the chips from the bad board to the good one, one at a time, starting with Fat Angus, and everything carried on working, so I’m guessing the bad board has one or more faulty DRAMs. That’s fine, I need to salvage the 23 pin D connectors and the hybrid from it, and the RAM chips are the wrong type anyway, and the right type are easy enough to obtain. They will of course be socketed on the B2000.

Considering I bought the bad board for less than mainboards deprived of their chips sell for, I’m calling this a win!

Heute noch drei Amiga-Spiele reingekommen und einen kleine alten seriellen Joystick, ich denke jetzt wird es das letzte gewesen sein, am Samstag kam noch ein Amiga-Joystick rein in original Verpackung.

Die Spiele hier sind alle komplett und mit 3,5" Diskette als Datenträger.

Heute den zweiten Rechner (ZENITH DATA SYSTEM) im Hobby-Keller aufgebaut, links neben dem AMIGA 2000 (den ich gestern aufgebaut hatte). Auch den ZENITH Rechner Innen und Außen gereinigt wobei Innen auch wieder tip topp sauber war (wie auch der AMIGA), getestet Hab ich den noch nicht da er erstmal "trocknen" soll vom Reinigen in Ruhe über das Wochenende.

Sooo heute den ersten von zwei "Neuankömmlingen" im Hobby-Keller aufgebaut. Es ist ein Commodore AMIGA 2000 mit original CRT-Monitor, Tastatur, Maus, 2 externen 3,5" Floppy-Laufwerken und Drucker (alles von Commodore). Morgen folgt der zweite Aufbau eines ZENITH DATA SYSTEMS Firmenrechner.

Leider hat der Amiga aktuell technische Probleme aber das hatte ich erwartet aufgrund des Alters (er ist 39 Jahre alt aber top gepflegt, innen & außen).
