It happened!! I finally heard an episode of #CaseyKasem #AmericanTop40 which mentioned WA! 6AM in "North Western Australia" (seems to be #Northam currently and it's now a TripleM station) used to broadcast the show in the 70s. Still waiting to hear who broadcasted it in #Perth in the #80s when I would have heard it in my yoof.

A couple of weeks ago, I shared my love of Rick Dees and the Weekly Top 40, and my love of listening to him occasionally on Sunday mornings.

This week, I've shifted gears in the other direction. Casey Kasem's American Top 40 is on the radio today, a flashback episode from August 22, 1987.

Kasem was a staple when I had sleepovers at my grandparents, so while I listened to him less...this show in some ways is more nostalgic for me. :)

Tune your dials...come listen to past hits with me. 💕

TIL I learned that Ryan Seacrest has been “hosting" American Top 40 for longer than Casey Kasem ever did. 🤯

(to be fair, I think he now hosts like once a month; rest are guest hosts)
