Formulaic, long, 95% unoriginal (and so very, very predictable), forgettable acting, with the distinct feeling of a TV movie from 2004.
I think it's time for Spielberg to retire.

JURÉ N°2 - #ClintEastwood - 2024 - ★★★⭑
---
Tout le talent de mise en scène de Clint Eastwood pour une histoire incroyable, avec un scénario parfois un peu trop démonstratif mais qui ne manque pas d’intensité, le tout renforcé par la qualité de la direction d’acteur.

The History of Sound is a good movie, but for a story with so much potential, lacks passion and gets a bit shoddy at the end.
O'Connor and Mescal are great and so are a few of the other actors. And nice music.
The History of Sound, Oliver Hernanus

In Ghana 🇬🇭 when posters can't be imported, local artists will bootleg them to the best of their abilities. Some often are more imaginative than the official studio releases.
#AmericanMovie (1999)
Aspiring filmmaker Mark Borchardt attempts to finance his dream project by finally completing Coven (1997), a micro-budget horror film he abandoned years before.
Marty Supreme is fast-paced and energetic, beautifully shot and beautifully acted, the dialogues are sharp, and the sets/costumes/props are just perfect, but it's also loud, too long, slightly chaotic and with too many pointless subplots.
A good movie with too much Oscar season hype.
Marty Supreme, Josh Safdie
8/10
Oddly enthralling and beautifully shot.
Winshaw and Hall are just perfect. And New York is New York.
Peter Hujar's Day, Ira Sachs
7/10
It's strange how a movie with so much potential can turn out to be just flat, unmoving, and probably very forgettable.
Beautiful settings, miscast actors, so-so direction.
