A una settimana dalla conclusione del Festival di Sanremo 2026 continuano ad emergere retroscena circa i cantanti in gara. Questa volta tocca a Francesco Renga, classificatosi al 23° posto con “Il meglio di me”. Domenica 8 marzo l’artista è ospite di Mara Venier a “Domenica In”. La conduttrice rivela che settimana scorsa, in occasione della conseuta puntata post Sanremo, Renga non aveva potuto partecipare perché influenzato, e ora è lui a parlare nel dettaglio di quel che è successo.

“La serata dei duetti ho iniziato a covare l’influenza” spiega Francesco Renga nel salotto di Rai 1, “poi ho fatto una notte d’inferno, mi sono alzato dal letto due ore prima della finale infatti avevo chiesto di farmi passare prima perché non sapevo se ce l’avrei fatta a reggere“. La vicinanza della figlia Jolanda
Questo Sanremo è stato per lui speciale, perché ha avuto accanto la figlia Jolanda: “Prima volta che veniva con me” racconta a Venier, “è stata lei a chiedermelo. Jolanda è la mia donna di riferimento. Il mio rapporto con lei è completo, dà un amore che forse solo una madre può darti. Le prime tre notti è stata con me in hotel, è stato un Saremo per me nuovo, perché avveo una serenità che lei mi trasmetteva”.
La vittoria nel 2005 con “Angelo”
Dei tanti Festival a cui ha partecipato, quello che gli è rimasto nel cuore è datato 2005, quando vinse con Angelo: “Lo ricordo non tanto per la vittoria ma per una famiglia che stava nascendo (Jolanda, la figlia avuta da Ambra Angiolini, era nata solo un anno prima, ndr). Da quando Sal Da Vinci ha vinto il Festival di Sanremo, sui social è tutto un rimbalzare di vecchi video che lo riguardano, soprattutto perché la sua storia, per molti, è ancora piuttosto sconosciuta. Tra questi ce n’è uno che risale al 1995. Sal a quei tempi ha 25 anni ed è ospite a Non è la Rai. Ambra lo intervista brevemente prima che lui inizi a cantare, e a colpire è il siparietto tra i due, in cui l’artista sembra fare il cascamorto con la padrona di casa.

“Com’è cantare dal vivo” gli domanda Ambra. Ma Sal è assorto nei propri pensieri: “Sei bellissima, sono stato invaso” risponde. “Che cosa avevi detto? Non ho capito niente, guardavo solo te“. Angiolini sorride imbarazzata, e in sottofondo si sentono le altre ragazze ridere divertite. Ambra riprende la situazione in mano e va avanti: “Noi siamo delle ragazze playback, capito? È così, è inutile dire bugie. Qui cantiamo in playback. Tu invece canti dal vivo. Com’è cantare dal vivo?”. A quel punto Da Vinci torna in sé: “A cantare dal vivo cambiano le emozioni, ti vengono fuori delle cose che magari in plaback sono lì registate e quelle sono, invece cantare dal vivo è iportante, è bello, è più stimolante”. Malgrado la giovane età, a quei tempo il cantante era gà sposato da 3 anni con Paola Pugliese ed erano genitori di Francesco, nato nel 1993.
