@BylinesScotland This is a seriously misguided move. The debates around ABA and related methods of intervention are dominated by the articulate #autistic people who are able to engage in them. ABA may well not be appropriate for them. But many autistic people like my son are much less capable, sometimes with learning disabilities as well. For them ABA can be a life-saver, but they do not have the articulacy to make the counter-argument.

The charity Ambitious About Autism has launched a #campaign to protect #education #funding and provision for children with special educational needs and disabilities (#SEND) in #England, where the government is carrying out a review at the moment - there's a #petition and five key recommendations (starting with upholding current laws and protecting current funding)
