THEN put it in, to the amazement of anyone watching.

I mean, I appreciate #CloseUpMagic as much as the next guy, but by now nearly everybody knows this trick.

I'll admit, if the magician puts a subtle mark on the cable so he knows which way it goes ahead of time, possibly even without looking, the illusion can be quite impressive.
