"He weighs his words carefully. Every moment he evaluates the word. I should add: every moment he evaluates silence." - Jean Daive, _Under the Dome: Walks with Paul Celan_
This book is amazing.
“forget the ink, the milk, the blood—
all was washed clean with the flood
we rose up from the falling waters
the fallen rain's own sons and daughters
and none of this, none of this matters.”

5 or so years ago, @mister_roy gave me a copy of #FastSpeakingWoman by #AnneWaldman for #Christmas. Took me a while to get round to it, but I've been slowly reading it this year, and I thinks it's aces. I love her incantatory deluge-of-words-and-images style much more than I thought I would. And watching her perform in videos is mesmerising. I'm doubtless not saying anything that hasn't been said before, just #SharingTheJoy
