The emerald green was scanning too dark compared to the example photos in the Combat Manual: Mercenaries book, so I spent a chunk of today deep cleaning my airbrush, whitening, and then redoing in phthalo green yellow shade for a brighter emerald look with still very emerald green shadows. This necessitated redoing the lasers and I redid the PPCs a bit just because one of them irritated me.

Continuing work on the commission. Dark grey to cold black for the classic wolf's dragoons red on black, phthalo green (blue shade) for the emerald green of the beta regiment. The sculpted missile launcher looks a lot less wonky now that it's got real shading courtesy of the airbrush, and still looks like a field refit that doesn't match.

I am applying the attitude of the knife here. The top of that missile launcher isn't actually curved, it's an optical illusion caused by the areas near it. I don't have a way to physically fit 15 missile tubes in there with the tools I have, unfortunately, so it's totally an MML9 if anybody asks.

Second layer with the clay. I covered up the old missile ports cause they kinda looked like ass, may end up having to go with fewer ports. Unfortunately, 15 doesn't divide terribly well. Second mini will be the 'before' mech.

I hope I'm not doing too poorly for my first time really sculpting an addon. At least the removal doesn't look like complete ass.

First attempt at modding this shogun for a commission from a good friend who is in the hospital currently, and may never get to play again. It's a start of campaign, end of campaign pair of pairs, a Shogun and a Grasshopper, both Wolf's Dragoons, with a special request for the end pair to have the shogun modded to remove the two SRM6s and add an LRM15 on the side opposite the PPC.

Moving a lot of furniture and painting setup into my bedroom for Reasons(TM). This is the new and improved Shelf of Potential. Yes, that is a lot of battletech. That is three shelves pretty well packed with metal miniatures, ranging from original lead pewter battledroids and early battletech all the way to "I ordered these a couple years ago from IWM."

Bought two copies of the battletech ACES box finally. Gonna paint one and throw it up for sale for at least enough to pay for both.

"How the hell is a blip that large moving so- IT'S COMING RIGHT FOR ME!" [Autocannon and missile fire.] [Sound of shearing metal.] -- The last words of a mercenary investigating a Kuritan bioweapon black site.

This is the Battletech Gothic that Catalyst is too cowardly to make.

Well, my calligraphy is awful, but it's recognizable. Even if it's only because it's fuckin iconic.

I'll take what I can get, and improve in my own time.
