🌅 Mount Rainier at sunset yesterday.

Shot from a foothill viewpoint near Graham, Washington. The light turned the snow pink-orange for a few minutes, and the ridges and snowfields really stood out.

I love this view. That warmth on the snow feels reassuring, like the world is still steady for a moment.

Two ridgelines at last light.

One already in shadow.
One still holding the sun.

I stood there watching how quickly the warmth moved across the snow. The light didn’t change the mountain. It changed how I felt looking at it.

Caught the last light on this ridge yesterday.
The evening light created a beautiful alpenglow on the snow.

Evening alpenglow on the Panchachuli Peaks. 27th Dec 26 1715 hrs

The light plays with the mountains, every day, every moment, & vice versa also. Here the slanting winter sunlight changes with every moment - the red deepening to eventually fade away. While the sun has already set on the observer, with the peaks in the East . In Hindi / Sanskrit the closest word to this colour or phenomenon is Arunima - copper or red coloured play of light.
