This morning was the annual #AllstonBrightonParade. The next month is the annual "Boston Police Department sawhorses blocking sidewalks all over Brighton because BPD can't be bothered to collect all the sawhorses they put out to block traffic for the parade."

Didn't have the guts to ask the mayor for a selfie, I'm a coward.
Didn't post everything, got distracted talking to my state senator and city councillor and a couple other folks.
Short parade this year, disappointed the Boston College band couldn't make it.

University of Massachusetts Lowell marching band. My other son in 12th grade is considering UMass Lowell. #AllstonBrightonParade

Salem High School marching band. A bit of a trip for them to get to Brighton, which I know because my son goes to Salem State. #AllstonBrightonParade

Leading off the #AllstonBrightonParade we have the Boston Fire Department. These are the only public safety people I will be featuring in my feed today. Fire fighters are true heroes.
