My kid is in a Weird Al phase again - which I am happy to engage with. So I am thinking of this recent episode of All Songs Considered in which Weird Al and the hosts have a fantastic discussion about parody and comedy songs. One thing I am still thinking about from this is how a good comedic song has to also be good music. It requires talent. And Weird Al is a very talented musician.

I don't even like #Christmas music that much but I really enjoy All Songs Considered's Christmas specials: Old timey radio play vibes, musical guests, and excellent holiday music selections.

They have not done one in several years so I was very pleased they did one this year!
