NatWest's departing CEO Alison Rose until recently told colleagues she had weathered more than her fair share of crises, steering the state-backed lender through the COVID-19 pandemic and market fallout from war in Europe and chaos in Westminster.

‘The prime minister and the chancellor accused of … failing to follow due process amid concern over anonymous briefings that triggered the early-hours resignation of #NatWest boss Dame #AlisonRose.’

Well, I for one am shocked. Shocked, I tell you.

Let's get this straight. Alison Rose was resigned after committing a very serious breach of the Data Protection Act. The evidence presented by NatWest shows that Farage's account was closed for commercial reasons. The reference to him being a "disingenuous grifter" is incidental.

#AlisonRose, pushed out as CEO of ‘#NatWest, one of Britain's biggest banks … after discussing personal details of a client — the populist politician Nigel #Farage — with a journalist.’

As an ex-employee of NatWest, Rose has my support. I don’t care what she said to journalists.

As a human being, Farage gets zero trust, respect, or sympathy from me.

NatWest Bank CEO ousted after furor over politician Nigel Farage's bank account

NatWest, one of Britain’s biggest banks, says its chief executive has left her job after discussing personal details of a client — the populist politician Nigel Farage — with a journalist

The Independent
If you are a Communist, Fascist, Socialist, arch Capitalist, Brexiteer or Remainer, I may have real problems with your views. In a civilised society though, your access to a bank of your choice shouldn't be determined based on those views. Where people are breaking the law we are in different territory, but wanting freedom and equality means supporting people whose views we find appalling from time to time, or it means nothing at all. #farage #coutts #alisonrose

#FloaterFarage bobs disgustingly to the surface once more, having a hissy fit because #Coutts quite rightly closed his account and offered him another at #NatWest.

The wee shit has forced the resignation of #AlisonRose for telling the truth about him. Now he wants the heads of the entire NatWest board.

Farage is a malignant, narcissistic #MrHankey who soils everything he touches and creates suffocating political stinks that poison the air, sometimes for generations.

So the question comes... was this sorry puppet show with budget of Ben-Hur done with this end in mind? Has #AlisonRose upset the wrong people and so they chose the disgrace exit rather than another?
Or are they all just chasing ducks like daft dogs until the pond is visible while paws in the air, and well, it is what it is, unfortunate etc
