Revealed: Harvard publisher cancels entire journal issue on Palestine shortly before publication

As Harvard’s feud with Trump escalated, so did tensions over an ‘education and Palestine’ issue of a prestigious journal. Scholars blame the ‘Palestine exception’ to academic freedom

The Guardian
« “I do believe our goal as #Palestinians should not only be fighting the #occupation, I think we should call for ending and bringing down the whole system of #apartheid and racial discrimination in the whole of #Palestine,” said [Mustafa] #Barghouti, the Palestinian National Initiative secretary. “They’re killing the two-state solution? We can have a one-state solution. But we will not live as slaves in a system of apartheid.” »

Going slightly off topic, now:

The Intercept’s Alice #Speri has a solid stance on #Palestine – highly recommended writing, especially if you’re new to the issue.

Here’s her article published shortly before the first anniversary of Shireen Abu #Akleh’s murder:

One can only hope that, also with the help of real journalists like Ms. Speri, rather sooner than later, the countless murders of #Palestinians of all ages, from toddlers to old age grandparents, whether also US citizens or not, will get at least half the worldwide and media attention as the highly suspicious (mis)treatment and death of young Mahsa “Jina” #Amini.
May they both be remembered as the brave women they were and one day, together with their families, friends and peoples, be granted #justice!
