The prior Mandatory Evacuation order has been changed to Voluntary Evacuation in the Cedar Park and Storm Mountain Communities, with controlled access. Residents will be required to provide credentials at entry check points. If you have not completed credentialing, please do so prior to attempting entry.
Credentialing information can be found at https://www.larimer.gov/alexander-mountain-fire. For questions about credentialing, you can also call the Joint Information Center at 970-980-2500. They are open daily from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Evacuation orders along Highway 34 from the Dam Store to Drake have been lifted.

If you have not yet gotten credentials to re-enter the fire area you will now need to go to one of the Larimer County Clerks offices in either Estes Park, Fort Collins, or Loveland during regular business hours.
New resources have been posted online for people returning home, including info about food safety, hazardous debris removal and post-wildfire cleanup: https://www.larimer.gov/alexander-mountain-fire
The SW Incident Management Team 1 will transfer command of the fire back to Arapahoe NF on Friday, 08/09/2024.
