Si chiama Fuori di Cabello il podcast condotto da Victoria Cabello nel quale la conduttrice intervista, col suo modo unico, molti personaggio dello showbiz. È toccato anche ad Alessandro Borghese, volto di Quattro Ristoranti e chef che quando non lavora, parole sue, viene “coccolato in ogni modo”.
E per quanto riguarda la casa? Ama cucinare anche lì o magari aiutare nelle faccende domestiche? “Sono un pigro, non faccio lavatrici né spolvero. In casa fa tutto mia moglie, non sono un marito che aiuta“. Non è mancata una reazione di Cabello sulla divisione dei compiti ma lui ha rincarato: “Non ho voglia di fare niente perché faccio troppe cose fuori. Il marito che aiuta in casa? Non è il mio caso“. Borghese vive con Wilma Oliviero, le due figlie e la suocera: “Se dico la mia non conta nulla. Se parlo vengo cazziato”, ha spiegato definendo però questo equilibrio in cui è minoranza “il mio paradiso”.
Un’eccezione al ‘non fare’ a casa però, stando a quanto lui stesso ha detto a Vanity Fair, Borghese l’ha fatta lo scorso Natale: “Stavolta cucino io, do il cambio alla suocera che ha sempre cucinato”, le sue parole. E aveva anche spiegato che non avrebbe preparato menu monumentali, ma piatti che parlano di famiglia e di mestiere, come le zeppolette fritte con le acciughe a pranzo, le bollicine immancabili e qualche ricetta presa direttamente dalla carta dei suoi ristoranti, “per permettere alla famiglia di assaggiarli”.

And what about the house? Does she also cook there or maybe help with housework? “I’m a lazybones; I don’t do laundry or dust. My wife does everything in the house; I do too many things outside.” She didn’t miss a reaction from Cabello about the division of tasks, but she doubled down: “I don’t feel like doing anything because I do too many things outside. The helpful husband at home? It’s not my case.” Borghese lives with Wilma Oliviero, the two daughters, and his mother-in-law: “If I say my piece, it doesn’t count. If I talk, I get fired,” he explained, defining this balance where he’s in the minority as “my paradise.”
There’s an exception to the “don’t do laundry or dust” rule at home, however, according to what he himself told Vanity Fair, Borghese made an exception last Christmas: “This time, I’ll cook, I’ll swap with my mother-in-law who always cooks,” he said. And he also explained that he wouldn’t prepare monumental menus, but dishes that speak of family and profession, such as fried zeppole with anchovies for lunch, the indispensable bubbles, and some recipes taken directly from his restaurant menu, “to allow the family to taste them.”
