I'm sure Alea the Black Cat feels worse, but making sure she doesn't escape from her cone, giving her medicine 4 times a day, a sponge bath every now and then, plus cleaning her wounds is a tad frazzling. Somehow one forget how many pointy ends a cat has.
But she seems to be on the mend. (And I'm about 400€ poorer.)
Someone just lost her first territory fight and needs stitches. Here she is, drugged to the gills and grumpy at the veterinary. That insurance doesn't feel as expensive anymore. The Snail And Art Parade will update tomorrow.

Alea the Black Cat came in with a large gob of pine resin stuck to her hind paw - large enough to glue several pebbles to it as well. Do you know what the home remedy for disolving pine resin is? Butter. So I may not have buttered Jorts, but today I definitely buttered Alea.

The first walk on the dangerous side of the esker for the year.
(It's steep, full of loose round rocks that rolls easily, and out sight and sound from the trodden paths. I don't walk there when I can't see where I'm putting my feet due to snow.)
