So one thing I've found that's interesting to me is that drinking cannabis-infused beverages gives me *disturbingly* similar vibes to drinking alcohol. I really enjoy it, and obviously the negative consequences are far less than drinking alcohol, but the lack of impulse control that it seems to engender, along with the powerful ritualistic aspects of drinking/drugging make it almost identical to drinking beer or vodka.

That's not stopping me from enjoying a 4-pack of orange sodas tonight, though, which I guess is kind of the point. So, as always, just a reminder that multiple things can be true: #Alcoholism is orders of magnitude more destructive than using #Cannabis
but cannabis is still a drug and it you can be addicted to it. #addiction

As I feel transperency aids in my condition, I am going to be honest. Due to increasing stress at work and watching my homeland where I grew up fall to pieces, my alcoholism has been challenging me in ways I am struggling to deal with on my own. Generally my cravings last maybe at max a day, I just resist and it flows on by.

This last set lasted three entire months before it lessened. I ended up crying on my boss. And now I am going to do something I never could in the USA for reasons of prohibitive expense--I am pursuing therapy. I had an appointment with my doctor yesterday and my first interview with a Psychologist Friday.

I'm 5 years dry post relapse and I'd like to keep it that way.
