@alansuspect
Short and to the point… #JimChalmersMP is no dunce, he knows this. And it’s a fair guess to say that #AlboPM knows this as well. So, WFT is the govt waiting for? Piss the tax concessions on #CapitalGains and #NegativeGearing right off and FIX THIS. Become legends in your time guys.

A perilous decision indeed. #AlboPM must have rocks in his head. A better decision would have been to pull all ADF personnel from the region, increase our consular support and work to repatriate Aussies via commercial means. But No… it’s #MadKingDonald all the way FFS.

#AusPol #Aus-Iran-War

Did you all have #AlboPM tagged as having his ultimate life ambition be The John Howard We Have At Home? #AusPol
And as a result, we have #AlboPM doing a #JohnHoward and sending #ADF personnel to the war zone. What a clusterfuck.

@drrimmer
If #Labor ‘s rhetoric about the evilness of the #Iranian regime is more than just bluster in support of #MadKingDonald ‘s aggression in the #MiddleEast, then #Australia has no other recourse than to grant them asylum. I’ll be watching you #AlboPM 👀

Good news at last. Though, the govt washed its hands off the issue by letting the regulatory body deal with it. Another example of #AlboPM’s timidity where controversy arises or electoral success is threatened. Less ‘politics’ and more progressive policy decision Albo!

Antibiotic licence for salmon farming revoked over 'unacceptable risk'

The use of florfenicol in Tasmania's salmon industry has been banned as the country's veterinary medicine regulator suspends an emergency licence for the antibiotic.

@msdropbear
Perhaps here is the answer to Tanya’s lack of action on this matter:
‘The new laws passed parliament, with the Coalition's support, in March last year, at a time when salmon farming in Tasmania had become a key issue ahead of the federal election in May.’ (Quote from article tooted) She was already under pressure from #AlboPM ‘s not to make any controversial decisions in her portfolio — pressure later confirmed by her demotion.

Tanya and Albo have been at odds with each other for a long time about community priorities over electoral priorities (at least that is what I am lead to believe).

That salmon farming issue is such a sad, sad state of affairs. One of the reasons I voted Labor was the hope for action on climate change and environmental protection. Now, I am left with no other option (by the lack of action on these issues) but to vote Greens first — This is on you Albo!

@MaxG
I wouldn’t go that far (not in the strict meaning of the term), but he has turned his back on core Labor values. I would say #AlboPM is good at political strategy, but outside of that tiny realm he is floundering at best, leading Australia down a very dangerous path at worst.

Van Badham says it all for me… disappointed in #AlboPM doesn’t describe what I feel about ‘our leader’ right now. In a term and a half, he has scuttled every #Labor policy that I care about. This ex-left winger has drifted so far right I hardly recognise my party, the party of workers. Albo has been straddling the political divide so hard that he will soon rip assunder horizontally and expire — but not before doing to the Labor Party what the #LNP have done to theirs.

As for my old #Union… what the fauck are you doing? Where is your political agenda? What are you doing about it? Where is the noise, the anger, the frustration of old FFS?

I’m on the cusps of handing in my membership and joining the #Greens where most of my political thinking is now represented lest someone else takes the lead or Albo resigns from the top job.

This latest gaffe is the straw… maybe the last one.

Albanese’s ‘difficult’ moment with Grace Tame: in one dumb word he summoned the spectre of Scott Morrison

Forgetting the history of this term suggests alignment between past and present PMs at a desperately inopportune time

The Guardian

According to the Australian Institute:
'latest polling shows Labor, Coalition, Greens and One Nation voters all support a 25% tax on gas exports.'

I guess that #AlboPM jammed tight against a decision wall that he doesn't seem to want to breach. Will the Libs and Nats pick it up or will they also man the ramparts and defend the indefensible?
