β€œIt comes as a grassroots separatist movement in Alberta gathers signatures to force a succession referendum in October.”

That's secession, BBC.

This is excellent though.

"During the meeting with King Charles on Wednesday, First Nations chiefs asked the monarch to issue a Royal Proclamation that would affirm their treaties with the Crown and the rights that are afforded under them, they said.
"It was a significant meeting, as Treaty partners and equals," said Grand Chief Pete in a statement.”

Good on First Nations for making it abundantly clear who their treaties are with! The MAGA-wannabe traitors have no say.

the King was "very interested in what we had to say and asked a lot of questions".

In this brief moment, I'll drop my opposition to the continuation of our constitutional monarchy, as antiquated as it is. This highlights, though, that if the Windsor's were ever to disappear, or our country chose to represent ourselves fully, then this very question of Indigenous treaty rights would be something we would need to solve together legally and in perpetuity.

Remember the old saying? "You sleep with pigs...you smell like garbage." This advocate for #AlbertaSeparatism scammed his uncle and aunt for more than a million. Couldn't work with surgical colleagues (got suspended). Was against #Covid restrictions and vaccinations. And that's the brain trust for #DanielleSmith.

Family seeking $1.3M owed by Alberta separatist leader Dennis Modry after court order | CBC News

Relatives of a prominent Alberta separatist who met with U.S. officials are upset that he has failed to pay back more than $1.3 million that he owes from a court order issued almost a year ago. A B.C. Supreme Court judge ruled in March 2025 that Dennis Modry, a co-founder of the Alberta Prosperity Project, misappropriated the money from the joint bank account of his aunt and uncle.
