Witnesses said they heard no warning before the use of #TearGas in Albany Park, & no warnings can be heard on #videos of the incident showing the scene leading up to the gas being thrown in the middle of a residential street.

Ellis also said she would be modifying the #TRO she entered last week to require #BodyCameras on #ICE agents carrying out #Trump’s so-called “Operation Midway Blitz.” Details of that modification still needed to be ironed out.

Though the judge called the early morning hearing herself, the case has been closely watched following the use of #TearGas Sunday in #AlbanyPark & in a residential neighborhood on the SE side of #Chicago Tuesday following a chase where feds rammed an SUV.

Around 12:30PM Sunday, dozens of residents had taken to the streets as federal #immigration agents attempted to detain people in #AlbanyPark, shouting “traitor” and “Nazi” at the agents taking a man.

Attorney Samay Gheewala, a 15-year resident of the neighborhood & the man who had been bleeding from his hands, was one of the first on scene to do “usual lawyer stuff” after his wife said someone was being taken outside.

“We chased federal agents out of #AlbanyPark today,” a person shouted to a cheer from the dozens of residents who were out on the street.

Then a whistle blew several blocks over, followed by shouts. Minutes later, there were more shouts.

A man spoke to #Chicago police officers in the 3200 block of W Wilson while his hands bled after being shoved to the ground by federal agents.
