They already fly the same duration flights on 787s between Seattle & Seoul, about 11 hours on the westbound leg. For the summer season, their fleet of 5 787-9s are SEA-FCO๐ฎ๐น & SEA-ICN๐ฐ๐ท. 787s on SEA-HNL will mostly end after moving the 787 pilot base from HNL to SEA. Portland City Council unanimously approved a boundary adjustment to include the half of the property for the proposed Alaska Airlines widebody maintenance hangar not already in the airport "Enterprise Zone", where up to 5 years of property tax discounts are available for exceeding a threshold of long-term job creation. Currently Alaska only has such a hangar in Honolulu, from Hawaiian Air acquisition.
