¿Sabían que la base teórica de toda la computación moderna fue establecida por un hombre cuya carrera y vida fueron truncadas por la intolerancia del Estado?

Alan Turing fue el matemático y criptoanalista británico que conceptualizó la "Máquina de Turing", un modelo computacional universal que precede a los ordenadores actuales. Durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, su trabajo en Bletchley Park para descifrar el código Enigma alemán fue determinante para la victoria aliada, estimándose que su intervención acortó el conflicto en al menos dos años.

A pesar de su papel como héroe de guerra y pionero de la Inteligencia Artificial, Turing fue procesado en 1952 por "indecencia grave" debido a su homosexualidad. Fue sometido a una castración química que deterioró su salud física y mental, llevándolo a la muerte apenas dos años después. Resulta una paradoja histórica que las herramientas digitales que hoy se utilizan para la persecución o el hostigamiento hacia la diversidad tengan su origen en la mente de un hombre que fue víctima de esos mismos prejuicios.
