- #Akhtubinsk military airfield in Astrakhan Oblast

- A500 kV substation in Rostov Oblast

- Oil depot in #Kalach-na-Donu in #Volgograd Oblast

The source did not elaborate on the possible consequences of the attack but strikes against the Akhtubinsk airfield last month reportedly damaged two advanced #Su57 #FighterJets

Ukrainian intelligence agencies carried out an attack against a Russian military airfield, an energy substation, and an oil depot in three different regions overnight on July 9, a military intelligence source told the Kyiv Independent.

The strike took place on Saturday at the #Akhtubinsk base in southern #Russia, the GUR said. The plane, capable of carrying #StealthMissiles, was among “a countable few” of its type in service. Russia’s #Su57 fleet has been largely absent from the skies over #ukraine and has instead been used to fire long-range missiles from across the border.

⚡️❗️A #Russian #Su_57 aircraft was damaged at #Akhtubinsk airfield, #Astrakhan region of #Russia on 8th June, 2024 - #Ukrainian Defence Intelligence This happened for the first time in history. The airfield is located 589 km from the combat lines.

Satellite images show that on June 7, the #Su_57 is intact on the airfield, and on June 8 next to him eruptions from the explosion and characteristic spots of the fire that arose as a result of the fire damage are visible.

Yesterday, a Su-57 multi-role fighter was hit on the territory of the airfield "#Akhtubinsk" in the #Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation, located 589 kilometers from the battle line.

The Su-57 is #Moscow's most modern fighter, which can be used to attack the Kh-59 and Kh-69 missiles.

For the first time, #Ukraine hit russia's newest "stealth" fighter Su-57 on #Akhtubinsk airfield with drones yesterday, about 600km from the front line. Only about 20 of these planes have been produced. Their "stealth" abilities are considered low, however, so that India left the partnership to build them in 2018.
