And the blue dragon’s name is now Sinha, meaning the gentle moonlight that he led Yona through to safety with his warm hand.

That was well done Yona, that was very well done indeed.

14 episodes in and this show has REALLY hit its stride and I’m remembering why I liked it so much the first time. I’m now REALLY happy we’re getting a second season later this year…

Yona is coming to grips with just how different the Blue Dragon is and, yes, maybe, crushing a bit on the very pretty man that he is (she is only 16). #AkatsukiNoYona
Ahhh, I don’t think the Blue Dragon actually has a name yet… and that’s very much an OOOF moment for Hak…but I don’t think anyone could have reasonably anticipated an earthquake like that would collapse the tunnel. #AkatsukiNoYona
I don’t think we have the Blue Dragon’s name yet… his predecessor was called Ao, which is, ahhh, unsubtle. #AkatsukiNoYona
Just the sort of person who needs the gentle hand of a compassionate princess…like oh Yona for instance… #AkatsukiNoYona
Mind you, being raised as a cursed outcast rather than as a revered, blessed, child will do that… #AkatsukiNoYona

Yeah, as I recall the dragons have a different relationship to their destiny. The White Dragon, Gija, embraces it, but I think the Blue is considerably more reluctant.

OOOH! FURRY MASCOT TIME! #AkatsukiNoYona

Because character designs are fairly fixed in anime we don’t get to see any physical changes in Yona (beyond the dramatic hair cut, for reasons), but if she’s really shooting 200 arrows a night she’s probably fairly ripped at this point.

A far cry already from the sheltered, weak girl who fled the castle after her father’s murder. #AkatsukiNoYona

Yona IS a princess, and sometimes it really shows. In a good way.

There’s only so much she’s willing to tolerate of Hak being mean to Gija…and it’s a pretty low threshold to be fair. #AkatsukiNoYona

And OF COURSE Yona is sweet and gentle enough to ask for the White Dragon’s ACTUAL name (Gija for the record). #AkatsukiNoYona
