Last night, while everyone else was watching the Tony Awards, we were at Ebony Repertory Theatre seeing "Ain't Misbehavin'" (which I originally saw back in 1980 at the Aquarius Theatre with the original cast, and then later in 2008 at 5-Star Theatricals). ERT's production was very good, with one of the cast members from the 5-Star/Cabrillo production. It seemed a bit more disconnected from the personification of Fats Waller in the original, and the audience members needed to learn that light-emitting devices need to be turned off and stay off.
