The #Hellenistic city of #AiKhanoum in #Afghanistan. Actually, it is the Hellenistic phase of a city that preceded and survived the Hellenistic city with the earlier and later phases encountered on the upper terrace and outside the city walls. While many focus on the #Greek culture including the possible #Aristotle papyrus, the site contains a lot of Baktrian and Indian influences, while the palace itself owes much to #Achaemenid architecture.
