In spite of an Iranian government spokesperson assuring us that protestor Ahou Daryaei was home with her family and not facing criminal charges, there has still been no independent confirmation of this.

An Iranian government spokesperson announced today that Ahou Daryaei has been returned home to her family without any criminal charges.

We are still waiting for independent verification, and past cases like this tell us it will be some time until we see Ahou in public.

It's not over just yet, but this is wonderful news.

According to an Iranian judiciary spokesperson, Tehran university protestor Ahou Daryaei has been released from hospital in to her family's care. No criminal charges have been made against her and the university are not taking any disciplinary action against her.

None of this has been independently confirmed yet, but it sounds like good news.

Iranian government spokesman says Ahou Daryaei is returned home to her family without charge.

"Since she was transferred to the hospital and found to be ill, she was handed over to her family, who are currently taking care of her, and no legal proceedings have been initiated against her ," judiciary spokesman Asghar Jahangir told a press conference.
