Ahmed's probably best known for their time in Sun Ra's Arkestra. Sun Ra had some great trumpet players in the 70s. Ahmed Abdullah, Michael Ray, Eddie Gale..

Superb album by Sun Ra Arkestra member Ahmed Abdullah with an awesome (and unusual) combination of trumpet, French horn, cello, vibes, bass and drums.

This is the inaugural release of the label About Time Records and to my knowledge, the album has never been reissued.

A lost treasure from the US scene of the late 70s 🖤
