Steveg58This morning we were off at 07:00 to the Brunswick agricultural show: https://www.brunswickshow.com.au/
Interestingly given that Brunswick Junction is one of the smaller towns in the area the show punches well above it's apparent weight. It bills itself as the largest agricultural show in the South West and I can believe it. Mind you, the Bunbury show which should be the largest has completely jumped the shark and got rid of everything except sideshow alley and a few tat stalls.
The crafts section is not the biggest I have seen but quite respectable for a town of that size. It is the only one I have ever seen where the cooking section has a couple of classes (hot and mild) for dry Italian sausage. The stall section is big with plenty of local community involvement. I also saw a sizeable (3-4 stalls) display by the Grey Company ( https://greycompany.com.au/ ) It also looked like there was some of their craft in the craft competitions.
Because Brunswick Junction is so small they established parking paddocks at the north and south ends of the town and run shuttle buses to the show.
Interestingly some of the local industries like Harvey Beef seem far more heavily involved with the Brunswick show than the Harvey show. Go figure.
