Seeing this post by @73926 come across my timeline the other day reminded me of AeroThemePlasma and since KWin doesn't support blur with wobbly windows right now, I got to thinking this morning about how maybe there can be a cached blur texture that gets applied when windows are moved. That would probably require modifying SMOD, wonder if I could figure out a patch for it.

I'm not excited for Aero Glass-- I mean, Liquid Glass because I use anything made by Apple.

I'm excited because, for some reason, people hold up Apple as "Peak" UI to the point where when Apple stays on a UI design too long it starts leaking into Interior Design.

I'm excited that this means other operating systems are going to not look boring as hell any more.

What would be nice is if Aurorae window decorations allowed certain items like the window icon to be in a different position from the window buttons to make it so stuff like Aero Glass themes can be more accurate. I'd use a Windows 7 theme but the icon being in the wrong spot bothered me. Haven't checked into this for a while, so it could've changed but I haven't noticed. Only other issue is blur doesn't work with wobbly windows last I knew.

Pro #KDE #Plasma tip:
if you set the Blur desktop effect's noise value to the lowest value, it can look cleaner and more like #WindowsAero when using the Diamond theme. I also set the blur strength to the third line, which helps a lot.
