Ho appreso da amici Norvegesi con cui ho svolto volontariato sull'isola di #Chios anni fa, che l'attivista Tommy Olsen responsabile sito Aegean Boat Report, è stato arrestato in #Norvegia

Tommy Olsen, da una decina d'anni, documenta il numero di imbarcazioni che effettuano la breve traversata dalla Turchia alle isole Egee, l'arrivo dei rifugiati in quelle zone e le vicende che li coinvolgono, denunciando inoltre le violenze commesse dalla guardia costiera e dalle autorità greche.
La #Grecia ha richiesto l'arresto di Tommy Olsen tramite un mandato di cattura internazionale, nel tentativo di impedire che vengano diffuse le notizie sulle violazioni contro i rifugiati.
Le accuse di collaborazione con i trafficanti di esseri umani sono, come in molti altri casi, un pretesto per neutralizzarlo e ottenere il suo arresto.
Con l'arresto eseguito dalla Norvegia, cresce la forte preoccupazione che Olsen possa essere estradato in Grecia per affrontare un processo.

Kurz nach Mitternacht, am Samstag, 5. April, erreichten 24 Menschen die griechische Insel #Kastellorizo.

⛔ 3 #Pushbacks in der #Ägäis am letzten Wochenende prangert #AegeanBoatReport an.

Bei #Rhodos wurde 1 Boot mit 64 Pers. zurück in türk. Gewässer geschleppt. Hellenic Coast Guard behauptet, dass das Boot von türk. Kräften abgefangen wurde, Fotos zeigen aber eindeutig ein HCG-Boot.

Bei #Chios wurde 1 Boot mit 19 Pers. zurückgedrängt.

36 Menschen, die am Sonntag bei #Lesbos von HCG abgefangen wurden, wurden am Montag in 2 Rettungsinseln vor der türk. Küste gefunden.
