Question for the #BrainsTrust …

I’m about to go through my phone contacts and delete all the people I don’t have contact with anymore because the only reason I had their number was because I was on a club committee with them (which I’m no longer on) or I used to coach their kid.

Should I keep manual copies of the numbers just in case? Or just delete and try not to stress about the “what if I need their number” issue?

With most things, you don’t have to wait. If you want it, there are ways and means of getting it. It might not be easy and you might need to wait for opportunities but you can often create those.

With love, it’s not so simple. You might be able to create opportunities to meet people but you can’t create feelings that aren’t there. So, waiting for the right person to come along can be hard. It’s agonising, in fact.

Now, I’m waiting for my brain to catch up to my heart so I can see if this person I’ve found is my person. I hope he is but I have no idea if he even sees me that way. Plus, my brain is riddled with anxiety and 30 years of rejection, so I have to wait for it to find the courage to look beyond that and take a risk.

Someone help me get my brain to work.
