Breakfast of champions, I have no idea what this is but it’s bloody delicious. I mean, I’m eating chickpeas voluntarily. The labels say Chole and Bhature so I’ll be looking up recipes 🤤
Well, we all finally made it! The lovely hotel staff were all really invested in my sister and I finally being reunited and kept coming to give me reports on the status of the flight, whether the driver had found them etc. She loved all the presents, our other friends couldn’t believe I’d lugged that bloody pie maker all the way from Australia 🤣
We took it pretty easy yesterday, just bimbled around a bit, went out of the tourist area to the local shops which were much more interesting. Today we need to try and get some appropriately jungle coloured clothing for the safari, apparently my standard wardrobe of red, black and white with the occasional pop of mustard is not jungle appropriate 🤷♀️ I will do green but I draw the line at beige!
The vibe here is amazing in spite of the fact that tourism seems to have been hit pretty hard by the current state of the world. My friends trek had less than half of the originally booked group and hotels are offering massive discounts to try and get people in. Tomorrow we have an early flight to Nepalganj and then a four hour drive to https://bardianationalpark.org/ I guess I’m about to find out if all those stories about the state of the roads are exaggerated!
Fingers crossed we see all the animals #AdventuresOfCass #Nepal
